3 Act Math Task Sugar Cubes
During a warm up in 5/6 math last week, we were solving a problem about the sugar in Mountain Dew. This led us to a conversation about sugar cubes. Several students were trying to estimate the weight in grams of a sugar cube. Inspired by their work, we created this three act math task to solve together.
Act 1
How much do the sugar cubes weigh? What do you notice? What do you wonder? What information would help you solve this problem?
Act 2
Act 3
